Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the educational demand for the competencies in the healthcare information field required by NCS, examine the appropriateness of the current subject composition, and seek ways to improve the curriculum. In order to achieve this research purpose, 17 variable of competencies in the healthcare information field required by NCS for students in the related departments of a university in Daegu were derived using the t-test and Borich's demand formula. As a result of the analysis first, the demand for education on the three competencies: generation and utilization of hospital statistics, regulation management, and information protection was high. Through these results, universities should organize a curriculum so that students can develop necessary competencies in consideration of the needs derived in this study. In addition, as the number of companies that introduce NCS-based recruitment systems is increasing recently, it is necessary to identify differences in the importance and implementation of NCS curriculum by NCS competency, such as hospital administration and hospital guidance.
